We are an affiliate based marketing company. When you make a purchase by clicking through one of our links, we receive a small commission. This comes at no cost to you. Those links represent curated recommendations developed through dialogue, phone calls, discussions and networking with ultra-experienced, professional users from our Guides and Outfitters community.

It’s difficult to overestimate the value that lies in the recommendations we are able to make available through our curated inventory. Being able to tap directly into the aggregated expertise of people whose lives and livelihoods depend on quality gear choices is like a cheat code for a premium outdoor experience. We value these people and their expertise and we are of the opinion that they are an immensely underutilized resource for having that life changing, epic experience in the wilderness that will be told and retold for the rest of your years. For that reason, we maintain a guide directory and we continue to pursue ways to get more people to patronize these folks to catalyze their wilderness adventures.

In our modern society, human interaction has diminished and with it much of the commerce and exchange of ideas has been co-opted by slick marketing. GTC is harvesting information that doesn’t exist digitally, isn’t written down and isn’t able to be generated by artificial intelligence. We’re connecting with other humans who have sophisticated knowledge in niche areas and we’re discussing with them what they find value in.

Our wilderness areas and outdoor spaces feel more and more like a finite resource. With the various threats that these places face, it is important to know that people are organized to protect what remains of these special environments. We maintain a directory of organizations that need your help and support to help protect these invaluable natural places. Please click the Shared Mission button below to bring you to that page for more information.

We strive to ensure our mission matches that of the companies to whom we are driving revenue-generating traffic. There are some companies that we love to drive traffic to, some we won’t actively promote and others where we believe there is enough alignment to do business together, but where we use an alternative preferred partner when possible. In many cases we offer multiple links for a single product to make it easier for our customers to choose the platform they’d like to purchase on.
